1:44 pm - Hello Again.

So far summer is going... okay.  It started out really fun but its starting to slow down.  Most of my friends have jobs - jerks.  I should get one... maybe.... no.  I don't want one.  I went to the eye doctors yesterday, it sucked.  I need glasses not just for reading but for distance too.  The eye doctor worked it so I can wear my normal contacts for reading, and wear glasses for distance, because I won't need them that much.  I don't even need then for driving, just school.

Megan and me have to do something before she leaves for Ireland and I leave for Chicago.  Maybe movies, dinner, something.  I've been hanging out with Pierre a lot lately.  Don't ask me why I have no clue.  Under normal circumstances I wouldn't but he's one of the few people who doesn't have a job.  He's actually kinda nice, in a jerky kinda way.

We, Pierre and me, were talking yesterday about when we were happiest.  I had to think about that one.  I know I was happy in elemetry school, but I think I was happiest in the begining/middle of sophmore year.  I wasn't fighting with people, I had a friend that I'm upset I don't have now, and life was a lot less stessful.  You have no idea how much I want to go back to that time. :-\  I probably should appoligize to the person but I can't get up the guts to IM them and tell him that I miss them.  I keep hoping that I'm gonna go to the movies, see them, and everything will be like normal.  I know it won't happen though.

Happier news is that Jake is now 23.  YAY!!!!  And Father's Day was really good.  Not many problems.  Jake and me got Dad a humidor and a really cool watch that Dad said he wanted.  He was surprised because the watch costed like $300 and we got it anyway.  Dad should know that I'll leap on any excuse to spend money.

You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

11:16 pm - It's Been a Few Days.

Well, its been a few days.  Nothing really important has happened.  I've gone to the beach everyday with Pierre.  We're not going tomorrow though, had enough sun for a while.  :-)  Suprisingly I didn't burn at all, and I didn't use sunscreen.  Pierre is a lobster.  He he he.

My report card came in the mail.  First honors baby.  My lowest grade was a 92 and that was in Lit so that's really good, especially for me.  Mom and Dad said they'd get me something for my report card.  I don't know what I want.  Anyone got any ideas???  I wish my report card would have come a day eariler.  I just ordered all of my "SNL:  The Best of ____________".  If I would have known I was getting a good report card and something for it, I would have asked for that.  ::sigh::

I have other suprising news.  I watched Spanglish  the other day and, this really shocked me,  it wasn't that bad of a movie.  I'm not going to go out and buy it but I won't refuse to watch it.  Jake still won't watch it because of the name.  I didn't think I'd like it but, what can I say,  ::shrugs::

Isn't this really really pretty:

Mystic  It's called Mystic Rose.  I forgot all about them until Gianna called and asked me if I ever heard of them.  I miss math already and I've only been out of school four days.  That's sad.  It feels like a lot longer.  Professor Barsky sent me a website of really funny math jokes.  I should put some up.  I'll do it later, the web address is downstairs in my bag.  I feel like making the other Mystic Rose paterns.  Theres like a bajillion of them.

11:14 pm - School's Out for Summer!
Well, school is out for the next three months. You have no idea how happy I am. So much stuff has happened this year. Friendships were lost (sadly) but new one's were made. I was surprised. This year went by really fast. Last year seemed to drag on forever and freshman year was great, but this was just quick. I loved a lot of stuff about this year, I don't think I'd change that much about it. Next year is kinda gonna suck though. Student Council people are idiots (some of them), and it's the last year. I'm gonna miss everyone so much. Even the people I don't like I'm gonna miss. I need to try to get another ticket to graduation. I want Megan and Kim to come but I only get five tickets and four go to the family so I need another one

I get to go to the beach tomorrow. I can't wait. Its going to be killer. The summer is going to be filled with parties, trips, and concerts. :-) Warp Tour is a must. Live AID saound like fun too - plus its free. Friday is the set beach day. I get to go and waste money in the arcades but it should be fun. Pierre and Adam don't to the sand and water either.

Megan's going to be working a lot. Poor her. I really don't think I want a job. Most jobs have the four letter word in it. Plus I wanna take a calc class so it's not so much a drain on my next year. My schedule is going to kill me, but it'll look really good when I apply for college. Speaking of school, we got our reading list the other day. I love it. I've read everything on it so it'll be easy. I'm gonna sit down one day, write all the papers and be done with it. :-)

Hopefulle over the summer I'll be able to keep up writing in here. I did last summer in my xanga so I should be able to.

12:51 pm - Haven't Updated in a While.
Okay. So, what's been going on? I had finals this week. Fun fun. Lit was terrible. History was kinda easy, I guess. Bio was fun. :-) Bioethics was suprisingly easy. All I have left to take is Math. I can't wait. I get to sleep in tomorrow. That'll be the first time I've gotten to do that in a while.

Friday Lindsay and me went to states. It was fun. Pouring rain, but fun. McCorristin actually didn't do the bad. Ncconzona for first in the long jump. He was funny. When he found out he won, he was yelling, "They're going to mess up my name but I don't care." Everyone else did good too. After states we went to see "The Longest Yard" with Megan, Mike, and some other person. I love that movie. There isn't all that much football in it, so its good.

I was talking to Pierre yesterday, and it dawnned on me that after I take my Math exam, I'm going to be a senior. I'm not old enough to be a senior - at least it doesn't feel like it. I only have a year left. Not even. Over the summer I need to start looking at colleges. That's really scary. I want to go to college but I don't want to go that far away. Most of my friends are around here. Most are out of college and working but their working around here. Plus some aren't even out of high school yet, and a couple aren't going to college. Also I don't want to have to stay in a dorm. I really shouldn't worry about that one. No matter where I go I'll probably end up getting an apartment with someone.

Other news, we got our yearbooks today. They look ok. Some of the pages are messed up thanks to the seniors. Next year's will be really good. Lindsay and me are in charge of it. :-)

8:12 pm - Today Was Definitly A Long Day... You'll See Why.
Okay. Some of you might not know that when I get bored, I come up with the most random things. Today, during Bioethics, noless, I thought of a really good experiment, but I know I'll never be able to do it. Okay, listen up. You know how cat-owners say that catnip is speed for cats. Well, I never saw any until like a week ago at my friend's house. She gave her cat some and her cat went bonkers. Completely bonkers. I looked at it and it looks like pot. Now that you have the background, here's the experiment... Put catnip into dime bags and have someone sell it as "pot". Watch the little druggies smoke it and see if they have the same reaction that cats do. I think it would be so funny if they did. That might elimanate the pot problem in the U.S. People wouldn't need to go behing Big Brother's back to get high. They'd just need to go to the pet store. Then three months after this, the Columbian mofia is gonna come to New Jersey, go into a pet store, say "You're closing", the owner will ask why, the Columbian Drug Lord with pull out a gun, say "'Cause you're dead", and ::BANG:: shoot the owner. I don't think the killing of the pet store owners if funny, but the whole people-getting-high-on-catnip is hillarious.

Next funny thing. In Bioethics again, I as IM Dad on my phone. I told him we were talking about living wills, so he sent me this,

I,_______________(fill i the blank), being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artifical means. Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of peckerwood ethically challanged politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depened on it.

If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to sit up and ask for a cold beer or glass of wine, it should be presumed that I won't ever get better. When such a determination is reached, I hearby instruct my spouse, children and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes and call it a day.

Under no circumstances shall the hypocritical members of the Legislature (State or Federal) enact a specail law to keep me on life-support machinery. It is my wish that these boneheads mind their own business, and pay attention instead to the health, education, and future of te millions of Americans who aren't in a permanent coma or vegetative state.

Under no circumstances shall any politicians butt into this case. I don't care how many fundamentalists votes they're trying to scrounge for their run for the presidency, it is my wish that they play politics with someone else's life and leave me alone to die in peace.

I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-mails to legislators in which they pretend to care about me. I don't know these people, and I certainly haven't authorized them to preach and crusade on my behalf. They should mind their own business, too.

If any of my family goes against my wishes and turns my cause into a political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the grave and make his or her existence a living hell, and authorize my Power of Attorney to remove them from my will.

I though that was the funniest thing ever. I read it and was about to die from holding in laughter. The best part is it fits my dad really well. It sounds like what his real will might sound like. Scary.

10:15 pm - American Idol is FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I'm totally going to sound like a little kid but Bo should have won!! Carrie can sing, I'll give her that, but she can't sing anything other than country. A true "American Idol" should be diverse. They should be able to sing country, ballads, rock, oldies, accapella - basically anything. Before people thing that I'm just mad because they think I'm a Bo fan, let me tell you I'm not. I didn't really like any of the American Idol finalists this year. I didn't even watch it that much. But from what I saw, Bo had a lot more talent. I think that they really screwed up this time. Its gonna end up like 2nd season - Clay, the runner up, sold more records and was more popular than Ruben, the winner. Bo will still be more popular and have better sales. I think that when they do the themed shows, the contestants shouldn't be allows to change the song. They should have to sing it AS WRITTEN. Every week Carrie took a song and put a country swing on it. I'm sorry, but the world does not need another freakin' country singer. It is impossible to make country music sound good. Okay, I feel much better now that I got that off me chest.

In other news, I really like my tutor. He actually teaches. I though I wasn't going to like him becuase he sounded a little weird but he's actually really, really cool. He's into music too. As I was in the waiting room I was looking at the bookcases and there are like 500 books just on piano. Plus, he has the most beautiful baby grand. I was in heaven. I wanna start taking music again. I just stopped because I didn't have time. I need to drop something else. I miss music. Music is the only sensual pleasure with out a vice. He's also a really good tutor. I actually learn something. LOL.

Random question before I say good-bye, does anyone know how to make the layout any cooler? Its asking for overrides.

5:33 pm - I'm Treasurer!
Well people, you are reading something written by the new treasurer of the National Honor Society. :-) So happy. I get to play with number and du fundraisers. I already have a lot of ideas. Themed dances, flee markets, bake sales, dress down. Its gonna be good. The other officers are Jackie (President), Lindsay, (Vice President), and Nicole (Secetray). At least NHS will be in good hads next year. We said good-bye to the senior members today. It was sad. We bonded this year. I'll probably keep in touch with them, so thats good.
In other news, the math test that I though I got a 22 one, I didn't to that bad on. I still got my lowest grade ever, a 89, but she scaled it 15 points so it was originally a 74. That's not good.
Bobbie was telling us about her band at he NHS party. The name is Small (figure of a child running) Children At Play. Its her funny band and it really sounds funny. Everyone June 4 go to the show. I don't know where it is yet but it should be good.
You people have no idea how happy I am that there is only a few more days left with Sr. Barbara. I don't have to see her again after June 7th. :-) Today we were talking about abortion. Not something to talk about with Sister. Me and a couple other people from my class are pro-choice, sorta. We feel that if a fetus can not survive on its own outside of the womb than an abortion maybe preformed. But if it can, then there should be now abortion. Also, having abortions legal have stopped a lot of women from going into dirty rooms with unstrerile instruments to have one. This is an article I found one D&E, and, you may call me heartless, but its what I feel, it didn't bother me. So...
A Medical Doctor describes the Dilation and Evacuation Procedure
-- Dr. Tony Levatino, M.D.
Imagine for a moment that you are a "pro-choice" obstetrician-gynecologist as I once was. Your patient today is seventeen years old and she is twenty weeks pregnant. At twenty weeks, her uterus is up to her umbilicus and she has been feeling her baby kick for the last two weeks. If you could see her baby, she would be as long as your hand from the top of her head to the bottom of her rump not counting the legs. Your patient is now asleep on an operating room table with her legs in stirrups. Upon entering the room after scrubbing, you dry your hands with a sterile towel and are gowned and gloved by the scrub nurse.
The first task is remove the laminaria that had earlier been placed in the cervix to dilate it sufficiently to allow the procedure you are about to perform. With that accomplished, direct your attention to the surgical instruments arranged on a small table to your right. The first instrument you reach for is a 14-French suction catheter. It is clear plastic and about nine inches long. It has a bore through the center approximately ¾ of an inch in diameter. Picture yourself introducing the catheter through the cervix and instructing the circulating nurse to turn on the suction machine which is connected through clear plastic tubing to the catheter. What you will see is a pale yellow fluid the looks a lot like urine coming through the catheter into a glass bottle on the suction machine. This amniotic fluid surrounded the baby to protect her.
With suction complete, look for your Sopher clamp. This instrument is about thirteen inches long and made of stainless steel. At one end are located jaws about 2 ½ inches long and about ¾ on an inch wide with rows of sharp ridges or teeth. This instrument is for grasping and crushing tissue. When it gets hold of something, it does not let go.
A second trimester D&E abortion is a blind procedure. The baby can be in any orientation or position inside the uterus. Picture yourself reaching in with the Sopher clamp and grasping anything you can. At twenty weeks gestation, the uterus is thin and soft so be careful not to perforate or puncture the walls. Once you have grasped something inside, squeeze on the clamp to set the jaws and pull hard – really hard. You feel something let go and out pops a fully formed leg about 4 to 5 inches long. Reach in again and grasp whatever you can. Set the jaw and pull really hard once again and out pops an arm about the same length. Reach in again and again with that clamp and tear out the spine, intestines, heart and lungs.
The toughest part of a D&E abortion is extracting the baby’s head. The head of a baby that age is about the size of a plum and is now free floating inside the uterine cavity. You can be pretty sure you have hold of it if the Sopher clamp is spread about as far as your fingers will allow. You will know you have it right when you crush down on the clamp and see a pure white gelatinous material issue from the cervix. That was the baby’s brains. You can then extract the skull pieces. If you have a really bad day like I often did, a little face may come out and stare back at you.
Congratulations! You have just successfully performed a Suction D&E abortion. You just affirmed her right to choose. You just made $600 cash in fifteen minutes.

Okay. Moving on. We did a really cool vision lab in Biology. You had to look at letters (bdbd) and find the matching set. It was fun. There was a lot of things like that.
We had a test on the Cold War in history. I have to say, I'm starting to admire Harry S. Truman. He was like a real person. Most presidents came from really wealthy families, but he fought in WWI, he was a haberdasher, and only got started in politics because he needed a job. He was also the first president since Coolige go to into the White House kitchen and thank the staff. Gotta love manners.
I have tutoring in a little bit. Need to find out how to do the math. Don't want another 89. So bye bye.

9:50 pm - Back Again!
Okay. I haven't updated in a while. Let's see, what's been going on? Well, lets start with today. McCorristin is going to turn to crap next year. Gina was "appointed" Executive President of the Student Council. We all know that she doesn't deserve it. She was just the one who kissed the most behind so she got it. If she couldn't get a simple Key Club together and run it properly, what makes her think that she'll be able to run student council? Nicole is VP and Bobbie is Sectary. Both of them I'm fine with. Its just "Madam President" that I'm having issues with. I lot of people are now that I think about it. Okay, whose up for a mutiny?
In lighter news, only like 8 more days (tops) with Sr. Barbara. We were talking about health care in the United States and she was basically making it sound like it was the government's fault. Its not. If people would save and invest their money instead of buying $20,000 TVs, and "needing" the most expensive cars, phones, and jewelry then there wouldn't be an issue. When ever something goes wrong it is automatically the government's fault. Can't people take responsibily for their own actions. I know I'm spoiled but if Mum and Dad ever told me that I couldn't have something because of bills, I got over it. Nowadays kids are so spoiled. I was watching Nanny 911 last week and in that family the dad had died and the kids were hitting, bitting, and verbally abusing their mother. The scariest thing about it was that the mother just stood there and took it.
I'm gonna miss Math class next year. A lot of people that I've had in my class for the past three years are opting not to take a math senior year. It sucks. ::sigh::
Ooo... Something just popped in to my head. We had this really cool lab a couple of weeks ago. It was a virtual autopsy. So cool. Here is the link: http://www.le.ac.uk/pathology/teach/va/titlpag1.html I got the first seven right on my first try. :-) Future pathologist right here. LOL. Okay. I think I'm gonna get going. I have to go vent to Jake about today. So not right.

3:04 pm - Future Jobs.
We had a half day today and I got to thinking with the extra time. I thought of two really cool but totally unlikely jobs. The first is to be a leader of a cult. The only thing is that it so wouldn't be cool to be like Marshall Applewhite, the leader of the Heaven's Gate cult. It might be a little like a commune, only not like the hippe ones. People should be productive - like working for world peace or something cheesy like that - and not laying around all day smoking pot and looking at lave lamps (even though their really really really interesting). You should base your leadership after people like Albert Mackey, a Freemason. Freemasonry is based on a lot of the same morals and values as Christianity so it really can't be that bad. Anyway, Christianity, ever if a person is not Christian, will (may, depending on the people) share a lot of morals/values (e.g. killing = bad). The second job would require a really, really, really, REALLY big promotion. The job is God. You can't honestly tell me you don't think that would be a good job. This just was brought on by my Non Sequitur Calendar. One day it had God sitting in front of a computer and there were buttons saying stuff like "create", "destroy", "live", "die", and so on. Let me tell you, I already have plans for the platypus. Its not already bad enough that the current God already made it from left over parts, but I would add some more common ones. First off I'd give it bat wings. Not real big ones, little tiny ones. Just so it could jump and get a little air - kinda like a flying squirrel (don't get me started on that mammal right now). Next I would make it purple. There isn't enough purple in the world. Yeah sure, a few animals, a couple plants, but is that really enough. I also thing that it should have yellow spots. It is poisonous so it should have yellow warning signs. The final thing would be horn(s). I don't decide it I would give it two like a bull or one like a rhino. Hmmm... ::shrugs:: The other cool thing about being God is that if you didn't like someone before your promotion, you could "accidently" sneeze and hit the "die" button. Some people might say that that would be abusing your powers, but if you God its gotta be kinda stressful so you'll need to have a little fun. The platypus wasn't fun it was work. I can already thing of a few peoples lives I'd like to have "fun" with. ;-)
