:: Marissa looks around the dark quiet room, she slides her had up the door, reaching the light switch and flipping it on. Her eyes squint automatically to the change. The small room was barren, with only a bed and desk there and of course a few boxes and suitcases that had been brought up before. She dropped her bags and let out a little sight. Welcome to Dover, Marissa. Sitting down at the small bed she took out her laptop and made her way to the desk. She blew some dust away before setting in down and taking her place in the chair. She logged into her journal and started to type, with haste. ::

I suppose and introduction would be the best way to start this thing off.

Like most people I'm not too good at talking about myself and I don't expect anyone to really know me from a couple of paragraphs, but why not give it a try.

I was born and raised in New York City. My dad is a lawyer and my mom stayed at home with me and my younger brother, Josh. It was a pretty average childhood. Nothing special. It was pretty boring actually. My mom and dad are still together, its kina rare nowadays. Well its better to have one parent then two crappy ones, right? :: She shrugged and tapped her nails on the hardwood of the desk, not really knowing where to go with it ::

I was originally going to go to NYU, but last minuet I deiced against it. I just want a change to get away from my family, go some place I don't know anyone. I've always had people watching out for me every step of the way. I just thought that going to college was about doing what you want to do, how you want to do it. Being on your own and seeing who you really are. Plus getting mighty drunk and sleeping around. :: laughing to herself she gathered her hair up and quickly threw it up into a messy bun ::

I really don't know what else to say, I guess if you really want to talk to me I'll be around. So I'll see you then I hope.

:: She clicked update entry, not reading over it. She had a lot of unpacking to do. She got up from the chair and opened a box that had her CD player and some CDs inside it. She unpacked that box first, turning up the music and started to set up her new room ::
