Well, I can say without a doubt that this weekend at Hogsmeade was by far one of the weirdest ever, and that's really saying something. Suprisingly, I didn't see much of Hermione or Harry. After Fleur showed up at the Three Broomsticks, I talked with Ernie, Justin, and some other blokes about Quidditch for awhile. Then just sort of walked around- seems like I escaped an epic shopping trip though, so I'm not complaining. I missed seeing Fred and George's flat though, I'll try and see it soon. Can't forget to owl them. And then! That Slytherin nutter sent me a bloody Howler while I was in the pub still! I. HATE. HOWLERS.

Back to the grindstone. Great.

Today was a good day at classes, I just got out of my last Apparating of the day. The thought of Hogsmeade kept going through my brain all day! It's been too long since I've been there, you know? Herbology was interesting, some girls (Hermione and Susan actually) decided it be really funny to splash stinky gillweed on Harry and I. CONSTANT VIGILENCE!!!

Things have been suprisingly quiet lately, I've been imitated Hermione and actually working on homework. She mentioned a picnic later today though, that should be fun. I think Hermione and Susan are expecting instant retaliation- do they not know Weasleys?! Nothing's so expected as that!

Oh, and by the way, Professor Canis is still doing a great job!

Mondays really are the worst ever. Ever ever. Not only do we have to suffer through Care of Magical Creatures with the Slytherins, but DOUBLE Potions! Ugh!

This weekend was great though, or at least Saturday was. Harry, Si Professor Canis, and I went down to the Quidditch pitch to try out Harry's and my new brooms. It was like there wasn't even a broom at all, like you were just flying by yourself in the air. I can't wait till the first game!

In other good news, this weekend's the first Hogsmeade visit! I can't wait to get there, especailly Honeydukes. Supplies are dangerously low, especially Chocolate Frogs. I heard from a Hufflepuff in Herbology that they came out with a new card, Medusa this time. I've got to go see if I can't get it.

I'd better get going. Raise your hand if you're suprised by how much work Snape assigned!

I haven't had such an...interesting...week in a long time. First of all, the new DADA assistant is terrific! I thought I'd go nutters laughing when I saw...well....I like Lupin a whole lot, but I think this is even better! That trick with the protection talisman is brilliant, I ended up using the small CC pin I have on my bag as mine. Hermione of course used a book :-)

Oh Merlin, you'll never guess what happened... I got a rather spectacular present from a friend earlier this week! It's beyond amazing! I wonder what Mum would say if she knew who it was from, haha!

I had a study group for Potions today. It was alright, except Harry and Hermione still seem to be butting heads over something about pillows?

I also met with a friend yesterday, who I hadn't seen in a long while. I hope they're feeling better and have come to their senses about another certain person...

Thank Merlin it's the weekend! I can't wait to get down to the Quidditch pitch, no matter what Hermione says!

I really can't stand this. Harry and Sirius are just as they were, Hermione's stopped scribbling whatever it was she was writing but she's still a wreck (to say the least). Dumbledore hasn't been back, and the salt shakers he gave us haven't very much. I JUST WANT THEM BACK. NOW THANKS. Things have to go back to normal, they just have to. This is too terrible. I'd rather spend the rest of my waking life living in a closet with Snape. I guess I understand, now, what they were trying to do. But they still should have told us, despite how grand and noble an idea it is. A lot of what Hermione was yelling the night before last made sense, for all that it helped. That small voice in the back of my head says though that it wouldn't have made any difference, us being there. Maybe Hermione could have, but somehow I don't think so. If they're like this, what could we have done? I'm just so sick of feeling like a pacing, useless lump. There has to be something......... anything really. I should sleep, but I think maybe I'll try talking to them again, seems to be the only useful thing I can do, for all that I feel like I'm talking to a Quaffle.

Last night was bloody awful. After awhile, I tried going over and talking to Harry and Sirius. Reminding them of good things. I couldn't do it while Hermione was awake I think- I'd be too embarrassed. Fat lot of good it did, but at least I tried. Hermione thrashed around in her sleep a lot, like she was fighting something in her dream or something. I tried waking her up once, but it didn't work and I didn't want to scare her further by shaking her awake, you know?

The Room's a bit changed...maybe due to Harry's condition. I was just thinking I needed some toast, or at least a glass of pumpkin juice, when guess what happened?

Hermione's gone to sleep now. She told me to wake her up when I got tired, but I don't think I can do that. I can't believe things got this bad. I can't believe he wouldn't tell us what he was trying to do. I mean, maybe he was trying to make it a nice suprise, which it bloody well would have been, but this...haha, suprise! I don't what we can do, I don't know if anything we even try will do anything. Bollocks, this is so bleeding frustrating! And to top it all off I'm completely knackered. At least there's no classes tomorrow, not that I'd go. Most elaborate skivving scheme ever is what this is, just poorly implemented, right? Cor, I think Fred and George's sense of humor is started to wear off on me, and rather poorly to boot...

Ron, the sentinel!

Everyone has gone completely off their rockers lately as far as I'm concerned. I had an...enlightening...talk this afternoon with Harry, I can't wait to see what he's found out. And Hermione's was acting a little strangely at dinner- I don't think it's possible her hurt ankle addled her brain a bit? Just kidding Hermione!

If you can believe it, some Slytherin girl came out of bloody nowhere at dinner today to compliment me on Pig! I don't know if I've ever seen her before, let alone talk to her. Somehow Hermione and Dean decided that gave them full permission to jump to the ridiculous conclusion she fancies me...I mean honestly! C'mon now.

Ginny asked about Percy. I'm not sure what I should tell her exactly.

For all that I slept through both breakfast and lunch today, I really can't complain about today at all. I met with Hermione after polishing off some sandwiches the house elves gave me in the kitchens, and we went for a walk around the lake for a bit. It's nice to feel like I have some clue as to what's going on now. I'll never understand girls though- I've been trying not to ruffle Hermione's feathers these past couple of weeks after that tremendous row we had over something completely stupid earlier in the term, and then she goes ahead today and tells me she misses it! Does that make sense to you? Well, can't deny the inevitable. No more Best Behavior, just good old Ron from now on.

Too bad old McGonagall assigned me extra homework this weekend because I couldn't transfigure a snake into a boot. And here I thought I'd have some free time this weekend.

Apparating...you'd think such an exciting and easy thing would have more entertaining classes! But nooo, all we've done is work our way with through the textbook "A Beginner's Guide to Apparition" by Eammon Soar. Yeah, it's interesting, but can't we even start to really practice? Apparently they're still too afraid we'll splinch ourselves, so it's study study study until at least the end of the term. How dull! Hermione'd probably like all that theory study though, I can still remember when she tried to get better at Quidditch by reading up on it!

Wow, everything's so, well, so ugh lately. There was some...trouble?...at last night's meeting- after Harry left so quickly, Hemrione left immediately. Fred and George looked glumer than I think I've seen in them in a long time, probably think Harry raced out because of them. And today in DADA, Mafoy was being his usually slimey, evil self. Great. Just what I needed after last night. I haven't seen Harry or Hermione much of all day, just in classes. They both look like they fought stampeding hippogriffs all night. Gah. I wish I knew what to say, or something helpful like that. Hermione seems to not want to talk though, and Harry's, well. You know, lately.

I've been trying to work on this thing Sirius is helping me with, and just in time, eh? I've gotten the first part pretty well down, just so long as I concentrate. Now I just gotta work on Phase Two. I'll go down later to Hasgrid's later maybe to ask him.

Bloody hell! Can you imagine how difficult it is to try and get any sort of sleep around here? If it's not homework, it's a bloody poltergeist trying to yell his way into the Common Room! Why exactly, I can't imagine. I don't think I really want to know. Poor Hermione- she's been walking around all day like Christmas has been cancelled, not some books destroyed. But still, I hope they weren't important to her. Haven't seen her so down in awhile.

Double Potions with the Slytherins today. Joy. Peeves had to pick last night to make a ruckus. Fred and George better not have had anything to do with that!

In better news, Ginny's talking to me again. Was even nutters enough to apologize if you can believe it! Maybe she's still sick...

I can't believe it. There I was this morning, peacefully eating my breakfast, when Hermione comes and tells me that Ginny was attacked while she was already in the hospital for Peeves dropping Itching Powder on her. When I find the person who did that... Harry and I went go today at lunch time to question the portraits on the fifth floor corridor- Harry says he ran after someone who was feeling from the hospital wing right around the time it would have happened. You'd think, out of all those ruddy portraits that someone would have seen something. Anything. The most we got out of any of them was from an old gent who said that two people ran by, no they don't know who it was, and they were followed by a third, which would have been Harry. Blind old bats. One old hag even yelled at us for assuming she cares who go running by while she's sleeping. Poor Ginny, covered in boils, and us without a clue as to who did it. My bets are on Malfoy, assuming he went to go visit Blaise, but Hermione seems to think that's jumping to a conclusion. Ha.

Lesson Number One: Don't do anything nice for the Slytherins. It's just not worth it. They can't imagine doing anything nice themselves, so it's a bit beyond their reach to understand why anyone else would.

Lesson Number Two: I'll never tell Hermione, but doing your homework early definitely has it's perks.

Lesson Number Three: Peeves is a brilliant artiste.

What a weekend wasted studying! By Merlin's beard, if I have to walk into that library one more time this week I'll go stark raving mad...! As a result, I've no idea what's been happening all weekend. It seems like Malfoy's still a slimey git, and Hermione spent the weekend studying. Things really don't change around here I guess. Except I could swear I saw Madam Pince throw Harry a wink...but I could have just been nutters from lack of sleep. Let's just really hope that was the case, eh?

Also, I got a weird owl this weekend, from Cho, wanting to talk about Harry again. Don't know what I could tell her really, but I suppose I ought to send her an answer or something.

I'd better take off. Don't want to be late for Potions with the Slytherins. Joy.

Last night's DA meeting went fantastically. Hermione's aim in particular seems to have improved to an alarming level. Harry and Sirius did a great job introducing and leading the group- guess it goes to show how much people trust Harry now that they didn't run screaming from the building when they first saw Sirius pop up. Either that or they're just a bit thicker, but I think I'll go with the first option. Seems a bit more flattering. Though people who go around making unprovoked attacks on their friends should maintain CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

I was in the middle of a great talk with Sirius and Harry (Hermione had left in a huff, something we'd mentioned casually about her homework planners seems to have offended her) when I remembered I hadn't finished an essay for today. Bugger all. It didn't take long, but it was still a pain, especially when it cuts off what Sirius called "Guy Time".

I have to remember to tell Hermione I've sent an owl to Fred and George for some....consultation work. Yep. Nothing much, nothing at all really...

Last week I was rather...preoccupied...so I spent the weekend doing homework. You'd think I'd fallen off the planet the way some people are going on...:-) Things have reached such a desperate level I'm tempted to even use that homework planner Hermione bought Harry and I last Christmas.

Quidditch practice was excellent this past weekend. When you compare how we were at the end of last year, well, there is no comparison. Ginny makes a great Chaser, but I guess I shouldn't be too suprised if she really was sneaking our brooms out of the shed since she was six.

Everything else is, well, back to how it always was I guess. Seems to be the proper thing to do. Too bad it's not a good idea to use "Obliviate" on yourself...

Well, if I wasn't tired before I sure as hell am now. After reading Hermione's note I went up to the dormitory, but it just seemed too small, and walking always did help me think. I went out again (Hermione was still asleep) and met, of all people, Cho in the corridors. She seems to still be rather, er, taken with Harry. Too bad for her I never was too good at things like that. Obviously I'll never be too good at things like that. I was tempted to accidently stomp into the Common Room just so Hermione would wake up, but I'm sure those nightmares can't make for easy sleep, and she should get all she can. We all do I guess.

I spent all lunch hour in The Room working on my cleaning charms, trying to get things ready...remind me to send Mum a note thanking her, I odn't know how anyone ever gets the hang of these things. At least it's better than that time Snape made me clean out the bedpans in the infirmary without magic...

Hermione seems a lot better today than yesterday. Not delirious anymore at least. Classes seemed more terrible to sit through today, and not only because Hermione wasn't there to take notes. And to top if all off, I'm behind in homework again. I'll have to bring my books up with me later when I go see Hermione.

You know, as much as Mum and Sirius don't get along so well, he did a bang-up impression of her yesterday! No, I mean it really would have done her proud. I'm sure she was smiling unawares at the time, knowing someone was passing along her legacy of rows...Sirius had some good points thogh, of course. The thing about me and Hermione is that we always row, then make up, and then find some new reason to not talk to each other. It nevers lasts long, not like when me and Harry weren't talking a few years ago. I never thought it could be this confusing though. There's always something, isn't there.

Last night I gave Angelina her Care Package from Fred and George. She seemed glad to get it, and probably more so since it had stoppped smoking and making that terrible noise. I couldn't find Hermione or Harry around last night, so I played a wicked game of Gobbstones with Seamus and a fourth year girl. Haven't seen Ginny in yonks either, but then again, I haven't seen Dean either...

Classes are alright. I've fallen a bit behind already, but that's not so suprising. Angelina mentioned briefly that Quidditch practices would be really starting up soon- I should get a jump on these essays while I have a chance!

Hope Harry and Hermione haven't fallen completely off their rockers!

I think I must have fallen asleep in that hallway. I remember reading the letter, giving Pig an answer back, then the next thing I know the sky started to get pink. Who ever heard of sleeping in a hallway though...

Everything is...well...what I expected it to be. At least there are classes to distract every- bloody hell what did I just say!? Anyway, there's always Quidditch practice later, hopefully I'll be so tired I can sleep. And Luna seems to be the most normal of us all today. Think about that one. Hermione's still...er...that is...I've managed to not see her much outside of classes today. Seems to need her space or something. I still can't....right..calm. The Slytherins don't seem to be doing any better than us Gryffindors. According to Lavender and Parvati, someone woke up in a bed that wasn't theirs...

And Pig's still not back.

Well, all things considered, I had a great and quiet Saturday, probably cuz I didn't see much of anybody all day. Had a bit of a lie-in, so the dorm was empty by the time I got up, same as the Common Room. I couldn't think of anything better to do (though believe me, I tried!) I took what was left of my homework out to that spot near the Quidditch stadium. Harry and Hermione don't seem to be in the best of moods...seemed to be on the edge of a terrific row past couple of days.

First day back at lessons was as -charming- as I knew it'd be. I still can't get Hermione to tell me exactly what she did- wonder if Harry knows?

I'm off to go send an owl to Fred and George before sleep...there's quite a bit of, er, interest in Weasley's Wheezes still. Sometimes I think their depature was the biggest advertisement they could have ever thought up. Probably shouldn't let Hermione know about that last part though...I can just picture her disapproving face now...it's altogether much too quiet around there these days though! Someone's got to liven it up a bit, and it's not me directly... should probably get Ginny on it though, just in case.

I see Hermione's left her knitting supplies out *grins* Good thing I'm even more helpless than Tonks was when it comes to housewifey spells...

As always, Slytherins can all just sod off for all I care.

Classes start again today as a sort of Welcome Back (*grins* yeah, welcome back- have some homework!). Hermione's saved my neck once again...she's really the cleverest witch in our year. Good thing I'd done that essay after all...

Can't wait for the feast tonight. The house elves always out do themselves then (sorry Hermione, but they do!), and it'll be brilliant to see the Sorting.
