About Paid Accounts
I have to pay to use Caleida?
No, of course not. Paying for web services is annoying, we agree.
That's why nearly all of Caleida's functionality is available free of charge.
However, if you're happy with the service you're being provided, show your support and get a paid account.
It takes money to run websites (for servers, colocation, and bandwidth), and this seems like a
better way to pay for it than blasting you with pop-up banner ads and spamming you with advertisements. Well, how much does it cost?
The rates are as follows:
That works out to $1.66/month for the year plan.
Pay securely with your credit card. You don't need a paypal account.

What's the status of my paid account?
You can review the status of any of your paid accounts by checking the Paid Account Status page.
So what cool features will I get?
- Caleida.com email address ---
We will give you an email address, that you can check anytime you visit Caleida. Your email address will be your_username@caleida.com, and you can log in to send and receive mail at http://www.caleida.com/mail/. It works just like a yahoo or hotmail account, except that we try our best to keep it spam free. You can also choose to have your caleida.com email forwarded to another email address.
- Personalized Domain Name --- Instead of accessing your journal at http://www.caleida/com/users/your_username, you can access it at http://your_username.caleida.com/, much shorter and more personal.
- Image Attachments --- You can attach images to posts in your journal. So instead of looking for an image hosting provider, you can simply attach the image to your post here, and we will host it for you. A total of 50 images can be uploaded.
- Web Hosting --- We provide space for your website.
You upload all your files using a simple interface, and your website will be available at http://users.caleida.com/your_username.
You can also use it to transfer files from one computer to another, for example between school and home.
- Hit Counters ---
You can keep track of how many people visit your journal, and even how many of them are your friends, registered users, or anonymous users. You can choose to make your counter viewable on your info page.
- Photo Albums ---
You can easily create your own Photo Albums, with up to 30 Mb of photos. That's enuogh for about 300 normal size photos.
- Art Gallery ---
Create your own Art Gallery, to show off your creative side. Simply upload your artwork, and it will be shown in a nice gallery interface. You can even use it for sending e-cards to your friends.
- Notifications Page ---
You will be able to unsubscribe to email notifications, and instead see all comments to your posts on a single page. This is much more convenient than checking your email all the time to see if anybody commented in your journal. The page will list comments from the last two days.
- Custom S1 Styles --- Create your own styles, for total customization of your journal look
- Custom S2 Styles ---
You can create your own S2 styles, for total freedom of design for your journal.
- More User Pictures --- You're able to upload up to 100 pictures of yourself, and choose which one to use on each entry, in addition to your current mood/music, etc. So, say you're feeling angry: in addition to the angry mood & icon, you can also choose to use your angry picture, which will then show up on everybody's journal that lists you as a friend for that one particular angry entry.
- Polls --- Create polls to include in your journal.
- Singles Search --- If you are over 18 years old, you can register on our singles listings, and find a suitable partner or friend based on interests, location and age.
