Time:12:09 pm.
Mood:worried.
Draco had been out and about most of the evening, Patroling. He had wondered where Blaise had disappeared to as he had not seen her in Potions, nor afterward and even missed her at dinner. He was beginning to get worried. He had gone without seeing her all day before but he knew she'd never miss a Potions class... let alone any other class for that matter.

It just so happened that he was passing by the hospital wing when he caught a glimpse of some hideously colored robes within the ward and felt obligated to poke his head in to see who the unfortunate fashion victim was. Much to his surprise he realized it was a familiar face and immediately marched in. Madame Pomfrey was less that thrilled to see him, but allowed him to enter further.

He had been blissfully unaware of the terrors that had befallen Blaise up until this point and quickly made his way to the bedside...

Having Defense Against the Dark Arts with Slytherin just made Hermione grouchy. And Professor Lupin still seemed so...distant...in spite of his recent owl to her. She'd heard vague rumblings about that Blaise girl being in the hospital wing, but hadn't had a chance to talk to Ron and find out what had actually happened. She suspected it had something to do with Peeves. It usually did.

She threw herself down into a chair in the library between classes. It was time again, she realized with some dismay, to owl Professor Snape.

Last night's nightmare had woken Hermione up far too early, which left her feeling exhausted and drained. The awkwardness of the talk she'd had last night with Harry and Sirius had stayed with her. She'd had so much she wanted to say, and knew better than to say any of it.

Tonight would be better, she resolved. Tonight she would get to see all of her friends in one place. Tonight she would force herself to have a good dream, and nothing else.

Someone needs to take care of this Peeves situation before it gets out of control! We've already had at least a couple of students admitted to my care because of him...er...it. Doesn't anyone around here know how to do a good, solid exorcism?

Harry passed through the wall, and found himself in his second mysterious room of the day. He crossed the floor and opened the secret compartment, retrieving a book called Occlumency for Beginners. He tossed it onto the bed and then climbed up after it, settling back against the pillows.

After a minute or so of breathing with his eyes closed, he began to read.

Time:8:23 pm.
Mood:thoughtful.
When Ron came back down from the dorm room to find the Gryffindor Common room Harry-free, he had a pretty good idea where he'd gone to. Instead of pursuing however, he dragged his school bag over to their usual, however now empty, spot by the fire. He spread his parchments and texts over the table in front of him, and then continued to gaze steadily out the window. Bits of conversations shifted restlessly through his head, and even though he knew he'd never get any work done he didn't pack away his books- having at least the pretence of being productive seemed to keep the younger students from interrupting him with stupid questions. A scowl crossed his face as his thoughts settled heavily on his middle brother, but he could come to no conclusions about what he was up to. "Git." he muttered underneath his breath, without even realizing it. His gaze finally went back to the books in front of him. Bypassing them entirely, he reached in his bag for book on the greatest Quidditch fouls in history, Brawling with Broomsticks, (a gift from Charlie for his last birthday) and tried rather unsuccessfully to distract himself from the strange occurences of the week.

(Bloody Hell?!)

Time:9:48 pm.
Hermione slammed the door behind her and leaned against it, breathing hard. She'd been overcome by misery in that room. Part of it was knowing she had contributed to Pig's new hue, but that was only a small factor. The things that had gone on earlier tonight, the awkwardness she still felt when looking at Ron, the words she wanted to say but couldn't to Sirius, the derisive laughter of Fred and George....and whatever was wrong with Harry. Everything just bubbled up to the surface and made Hermione quite certain she would scream if she didn't get out of there right away.

She wanted to cry. Really cry, just sit herself down and wail. She'd locked herself up too long with her books all weekend, and now her first foray back into being social had made her feel like this.

She started walking. Very quickly. Not set on a destination or even really paying attention to where she was going. Whatever happened now couldn't possibly make her feel worse.

She should have known better.

She collided with something solid and realized it was human. She'd been walking so fast with her head down that she actually bounced backwards and fell onto the floor.

"ACK!"

"Oh no. Umm...sorry, Malfoy."

Hermione felt tears spring to her eyes. This could be very, very bad. She could only hope it wouldn't be.

Time:11:10 pm.
Harry waited awhile after Hermione left before letting himself out of the room. The common room was thankfully empty, and he made his way upstairs to find a piece of parchment and a quill. He smiled at a note that he found on his bed, and put it away in his trunk after reading it. Then, he got down to the business of writing.

Owl to Sirius )

Harry slipped on his invisibility cloak and headed off to the owlry. Halfway there, he heard someone running...and a faint whir...he flattened himself against the wall just in time to avoid colliding with Filch and the paper airplane that was in pursuit of him. Harry chuckled to himself when the sound of Filch's feet had faded.

After sending Hedwig with the owl, he returned to his room in Gryffindor Tower. Retrieving another sheet of parchment, he wrote a quick note.

Note to Ron )

Harry left the note on Ron's bedside table, and then went to bed himself.
