Time:3:13 pm.
After Hermione left the library to go to class, Harry turned to the book he had set on the table. He was spending another independent study session researching...but his mind was elsewhere, and he wasn't in the mood to just do the trick and get down to business. He paged through the book a bit, then leaned back in his chair, running his fingers through his hair and staring out the window.

After a minute, he pulled a shiny badge out of his pocket, watching the glare of the sunlight from the window play across the letters, "HB." Wiping his finger prints from the surface, he returned it to his pocket, and let out a long sigh. His mind wandered back to the letter from his parents...in the midst of all of the recent excitement, if you could call it that, he'd hardly thought about it since he read it. For one short moment, while he read that letter, he had parents...

He returned to his book, repressed tears tickling his eyes. Two hours later, he couldn't remember a word he had read, and decided to call it quits and head back to the common room.

(Bloody Hell?!)

Time:3:29 pm.
With a yawn, Hermione sat back against the chair in the library. She was beginning to think there was such a thing as too MUCH sleep. She'd felt somewhat dulled all day, after having slept for nine straight hours.

She had a short while before her Ancient Egyptian Curses class, and she knew this was the last of her free time for much of the weekend. Her requests for extra credit work had been granted, which made her happy, for the most part. Although it did mean she'd have less time to torment Harry and Ron over the next couple of days.

Speaking of whom, she wondered where they were. She looked around the library and saw very few other people at all. She hadn't seen much of either of them, not Ron since yesterday, and not Harry since the day before that. Hmm. Maybe they'd asked for extra credit work, too...

Time:8:05 pm.
Cho was sitting down finally for the first time just to relax. She had had a very busy week. Cho's 7th year had really rained down on her, especially with quidditch practice and her classes. Finally Cho had remembered about the owl she had sent to Harry and his response. She jotted down a quck note and decided to run up to the owlery after she had taken a small rest. Her mind started to run off on other things... like the conversation she had with Ron Weasley before she sent the owl to Harry. "he's a nice boy" she thought to herself. She smiled but quickly shook her thoughts when she realized that she had an essay for professor flitwick to write. She got up and ran to the owlery to send the letter as fast as possible.

Time:9:12 pm.
Sirius lingered in his portrait, mulling over a new book given to him from the portrait of Sir Buckley, who happened to be someone of great importance in the early days of the Wizarding Council (or so he said). The book was entitled "Wizarding Philosophers and their influence on Muggle thought." It was actually quite interesting, thought Sirius as he finished the tenth chapter. He paused for a moment, putting the book down on the table he "borrowed" from another portrait. Rising to his feet, he raised his arms above his head and stretched. A yawn escaped his lips as he slumped back down into his chair. He sat there for a minute or two, thinking about Harry and how proud he was of his godson. He couldn't think of any other place he'd rather be. Being with Harry made him happy in every sense of the word.

But then a sadness filled Sirius' eyes, far off and longing for something, or someone. He had tried to deny it for sometime, but the situation between Harry, Hermione and Ron reminded him too much of his own predicament so many years ago. And that in turn reminded him of her... The similarity between her and Hermione was uncanny. But Hermione herself had her own special flare, something that made her stand out from the rest. Sirius laughed as the thought of being alive crossed his mind, along with the idea of trying his hand for a chance with the pretty Gryffindor prefect. But he wouldn't do that to Harry... he couldn't. And yet again, fate would deliver him a heartwrenching predicament. Lucky that I am just a portrait he thought as he cleared his mind and reached for the book once more.
