Well, homies. It's another video game review. This time, we shall review another shitty fighting game. This one. Yeah, you guessed it, unless you didn't reading the header, then, well, you're a fucking moron... but.. yeah... it's Mortal Kombat: Deception.

OK. I'm going to flat out break it down to ya in categories. People say I should really start by talking about the game and what it offers. It's fucking Mortal Kombat! What do you think it offers, dipshits!

Konquest Mode - Boy, Wow, You go around as this young kid and have to train with a bunch of lame ass characters. I guess they were trying to make some type of enthralling RPG or something. Nice try, Midway, you bunch of jackasses, Square's already tried that with some other shitty fighting game and failed miserably. All Konquest are very stupid as you have to reach from C-1 or some shit to J-5.

Chess Mode - Hmmm... Chess. This is original.

Puzzle Mode - Well, nice job, you have managed to almost totally rip off of Puzzle Fighter. Except, here's the kicker, instead making more of a kick-ass nicer looking Puzzle Fighter and it's a complete shit version of Puzzle Fighter.

Kombat Mode (VS, Arcade) - OK, This is the part of the review you want to actually read. MK:D has severe problems as the developers made a game that they completely forgot to have play-tested. What does that mean?!?! Try infinite combos on for size, piss-pour colision detection, and the CPUs amazing ability to slam the ground rapidly with Dairou 2 or more times in a row (when the most you can muster using Dairou is 1 ground slam every 5 seconds) should speak volumes to you.

Online Mode - OK, There is no one that is good playing this game online. Everyone that says that they are a skilled player at this game are lying and using a Codebreaker or a GameShark. Sad? I know it is!

The only pros I can give this game is that the graphics are actually nice and fatalities are really funny. Especially some of the Hari Kari's.

Avoid this game, peeps.

Rating - 4.5

Side Notes:

If you want to view all the games fatalities and funniest moment, go here... http://konqrr.com/vids/Fatality/NEW/

I know this is a piss-pour review but... it's 4AM. Cut me some slack, bitches!

Answer them successfully and you're shown shots of young women cavorting on beaches, usually in a state of undress.

The plaintiff, who remains unnamed, took the game's developer, Austin-based Top Heavy Studios, and its publisher, Take-Two subsidiary Gathering of Developers, to court on the back of her allegations, and this week was granted an temporary injunction banning the game from sale.

The teenager claims to have suffered humiliation, embarrassment and shame as a result of her alleged appearance in the game, which went on sale in the US in the summer, offering piccies of "over 60 smokin' coeds" and "real video of actual Spring Break hotties". Women "proudly show off their 'assets' for your personal enjoyment", runs the game's spiel.

Unfortunately, the footage of the plaintiff was taken when she was 17 years old, she claims. That not only renders the content illegal, but her status as a minor negates any consent she may have given to the game's developers to take and/or use the material.

"The plaintiff is still a teenager and wishes to attend college, develop her career and be active in her community and church," the lawsuit said.

Well fellow gamers, I found that to be funny as a bitch!
Now, when I went to get Metal Gear Solid 3 for my bro for Christmas, I was checking the new games that had come out. I had remembered my glory days of acing some ass in the original Mario Tennis when I saw the new game, I remembered Doopliss and Bowser's infamous line that Steve told me when I saw PM 2, but then I saw a game that sparked an old love of mine from so many years ago.

That game was Dragonball Z: Budokai 3. I got into anime because of DBZ, and it had looked mighty impressive in the commercial. Now, I would have bought it, but I am saving money because I would like to get a new car, so me and the Dong ventured to Hollywood Video, rented it. Boy, was I shocked when we started playing it.

The game is fun as hell. The simplistic fighting system made this one an easy pick-up-and-play fighter, obviously taking from Mortal Kombat's success in that department. The environments are a little interactive, offering very DBZ-like(and a hilarious one that involves a dino whooping your ass) cutscenes that add to the genuity of the game, and watching mountains collaspse on your opponent is a CHA point in my book.

Now, the super moves use up Ki, which you can have a total of 7 Ki bars. The normal moves take up 1 Ki bar, but if you enter Hyper Mode, you can unleash an ultimate move that takes either 5 or all of your Ki bars. These ultra powerful moves are the second strongest moves for the character, and use little beautiful cut scenes to detail the move. Also, to get full damage, you have to coordinate your button pushes, by using a bar system that is a very neat idea, alowwing the defender to half the damage, or the attacker to achieve full damage. The strongest move comes after the all new Dragonrush maneuver.

This occurs when you enter Hyper Mode, and send your opponent flying, and hitting the Energy button as they fly. It turns into a rock-papper-scissors type ordeal, with a twist. Your opponent has to guess which of the 4 buttons you will press, and it lasts for 3 rounds. With each of the first 2 rounds increasing damage to your opponent, and after the third unleashing your uber move. The catch however, is after each round won by the attacker, the button they use can not be used for the rest of that Dragonrush, or if the opponent guesses the button, the Dragonrush is either reversed, nullified or stopped.

The problem with this is, it does get repetetive, even for the DBZ fan. There are different modes, like Dragon Universe, where you get to fly around through the sagas with 11 different characters, which is fun at first but also gets repetitive. Or, you can try the cheap ass tournament mode, which you can only win by being a bigger cheapass. There are over 500 capsules to collect, which is sure to drive players nuts though.

All in all I give this game an 8, for being the best DBZ game out there, and if you can stand the repetitiveness and try to unlock things it is good fun.

This is the conversation from the genuises at Tecmo.

Tecmo Guy #1: Hey Biff, I think we should make a new DOA game.
Biff: Well, yeah, I mean the fans just eat this stuff up. They love the girls. I love the girls. I reeeaaally love the girls.
Tecmo Guy #1: Ummmmm.... Yeah. But Biff, what should we do to the new game?
Biff: I dunno, dude. Add weapons?
Tecmo Guy #1: No, you dumb fuck, then it would be like Soul Calibur.
Biff: Oh shit. That's right.

*Tecmo Guy #3 walks in the room*

Tecmo Guy #3: Hey guys, what's up?
Biff: Dude, what do you think that we can add to the new DOA game?
Tecmo Guy #3: Ummmmm... how about online capabilities? I mean, I hear Sony is making a lot of money with SOCOM's online capabilities.
Tecmo Guy #1: That's a great idea!
Biff: Yeah but DOA3 would be too laggy to run on the X-Box?
Tecmo Guy #1: Shit, you're right.
Tecmo Guy #3: Wait! I got it! How about we put DOA2... ONLINE!
Biff: OH MY GOD! WOW!
Tecmo Guy #1: Brillance!
Tecmo Guy #3: I got it guys, we'll just add new stages and enviorments and all that stuff, to make gamers think it's an all new DOA2.
Biff: But didn't we already do that with DOA3?
Tecmo Guy #1: Shut the fuck up, Biff!
Tecmo Guy #3: Biff, gamers eat this stuff up. Don't worry about it. We'll just add skimpy costumes, lots of dumb stages, and give it a schnazzy name!
Tecmo Guy #1: Dead or Alive X?
Tecmo Guy #3: Nah. The letter "X" is overused in too many video games.
Biff: How about Dead Or Alive X... uhhh.... 2? Haha!
Tecmo Guy #1: Biff, are you retarded or something?
Tecmo Guy #3: I got it!
Tecmo Guy #1: What?
Tecmo Guy #3: Dead Or Alive... ULTIMATE!
Biff: OH MY GOD! WOW!
Tecmo Guy #1: Brillance.
Biff: We also need to get Aerosmith on the game!
Tecmo Guy #1: Biff, why do you listen to such shitty music.
Biff: I love Steven Tyler. He's my idol.
Tecmo Guy #1: I want to hurt you.
Tecmo Guy #3: Anyways, It's settled. The name of the game is Dead Or Alive: Ultimate. Let's start on this project.

Well, this "project" is kinda lame, fellow gamers. The basis of DOA Ultimate is practically it's online mode. The online mode runs smooth as all hell. It's amazing that I can play this game really smooth on X-Box Live and mostly everything else on X-Box Live runs like complete shit! Kudos to Tecmo for making a good online game... but that's about where the kudos end.

DOA: Ultimate is basically DOA2: Online. Nothing really special. The new enviorments are lame. Like, there's this one stage that is a disco room. What is that? I don't know. Oh and beware of stages with steps, kiddies. They're the most lamest ones.

The fighting system in DOA: Ultimate hasn't changed one bit either. There really not that much skill required to play this game. The Dead or Alive series has always been a big game of Rock, Paper and Scissors. Play it and you'll see what I mean.

I don't really like to talk about Audio in video games either but this is an exception I'm going to make. THE SOUNDTRACK SUCKS! It's just bad. Like, most of the stages have music that make your ears wanna bleed. If that's not bad enough, throw <s>Mick Jagger</s> Steven Tyler into the mix and you got your a soundtrack that Hitler would recommend. Another audio thing that also pisses me off is that they could have made some kind of effort to actually dub the voices of some of the characters in the game. Like, c'mon guys. In reality... a guy named Bass Armstrong would not be speaking Japanese!

Overall, Dead or Alive: Ultimate is a lackluster game to oldbie fighting gamers but should please the DOA Hardcore extremists. Stay with Virtua Fighter 4 or Soul Calibur 2, kids.

Rating: 5.5

Well, before I start reviewing, the only reason I'm doing this is because... well... there needs to be an active cool community on Caleida. I'm sick of the ones that either "Pro-Johnny Depp" and/or "Anti-American". I just want to make a cool video game commune that just has people talk about what they wanna talk about in the video game world. That's all. Lemme start my lame ass review on Paper Mario 2.

Well, let's get the negatives out of the way first. THERE IS TOO MUCH BACKTRACKING! Way way too much. You spend most of the entire game retracing your steps. It's kinda bad. Another bad thing is some of the charcters have like the worst actions. Like Flurrie. This fat bitch shouldn't even be on my team. Also PM2, has one of the silliest bosses of all time. Like a slly kinda bad. His name is Doopliss. Yes, that's his name... DOOPLISS!!! He has one of the worst costumes of all time. He has a sheet over his head, along with a party hat and a bow tie. Just funny.

The positives about this game, it's story is pretty god damn entertaing, it's gameplay is stellar, it's graphics are bitchin', it's tunes are very delightful and the dialogue is just soo funny. This is what an RPG should have.

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys games other than ones that contain the words "Final" and "Fantasy". Tehe. I mean don't let the kiddie-ness fool ya. I mean there is times when this game goes a little gay but it's not that bad.

Rating - 9.5

Finally, King of Fighters on the PS2. As there are two games here, each will get a seperate review.

King of Fighters 2000: First released for the Neo Geo AES, this game featured over 35 characters, with as many as 3 Strikers for each char, bringing the character count past 80. Gameplay wise, its the same KOF youve been playing for years, with few minor differences. Unlike KOF99, you are now able to call a Striker at anytime, the only exception being during Desperation Moves(DOA, or Overdrive moves if you will). Another addition is to be able to turn on either Counter or Armor mode when your bar is MAX. Counter enables you to perform Super Cancels, while Armor allows you to not be knocked back as easily(think how the Hulk or Sentinal can take hits and still keep attacking in MvC2). Visually, this is one of the best looking KOFs to date, even compared to KOF2003. The music of the game however, does leave much to be desired. This aint GGXX. And the char select screen music can drive you insane while your waiting for your opponent to pick hus fughters.

This game supports either 3 on 3 or 1 on 1 fighting, with a Striker.

King of Fighters 2001: Designed by Korean company Eolith after SNK took their temporary dive, this game was also released originally for the Neo Geo AES and the arcades. Gameplay wise, its the same as KOF2000. Visually, and sound wise, theres a big difference. This game is ugly, compared to KOF2000, and REALLY ugly compared to a high res game like GGXX. The sound effects are too loud(a simple smack sounds like you just bitched the hell oout of someone) for no particualr reason. But out of the two games, this one found itself in my PS2 much more often then KOF2000. The game supports either 1 on 4, 2 on 2, a maximun of 4 on 4 fighting. With a 40+ roster of chars, 2001 also marked the return of some chars such as Xiangfei and Heidern, and the disappearance of others like Jhun. 4 new chars were added to the KOF universe in this installment: May Lee Jinju, taking Jhun's place on Team Korea, K9999(pronounced "K 4 9") a Tetsuo lookalike, Angel, and Foxy, all of Team N.E.S.T.S.

For King of Fighters 2000, I give it a 7 out of 10.
For King of Fighters 2001, I give it a 8 out of 10.

Ah. I have decided to review Guilty Gear XX. Some people call it X2, whatever works.

First off, This game is in the arcades, and also for playstation 2. It is a fighting game, meaning it is usually fiercely competitive and fast paced. Many matches come down to the wire because of the game style and how it plays. Its very well drawn, and a 2D fighter. A dying breed these days among fighting games. As in Guilty Gear X, it has anime style drawn characters and introduction screen. And if you're good enough to get all the missions beaten in mission mode, you can unlock even more art for the characters. Almost known for its wide variety and wacky characters, theres 12 to choose from I believe + 3 secret characters. The main two characters are Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske. The storyline behind the GG games is actually quite deep and involving. Although they don't explain most of it in the games, theres manga and books in Japan that explain all the holes.

There are a few things that make certain characters higher tier in the game than others. Examples would be Sol's Dust Loop, Johnny's Air Throw, Eddie's unblocklable. That make them *better* than other characters. Just picking someone up and pressing buttons seems to be enough fun for most people ;P. On the flip side of that, tournament play is possible because the game is pretty balanced actually. Skill usually overcomes luck in many situations. The revision to Guilty Gear XX comes out very soon for Xbox. Guilty Gear XX #Reload . [Thats sharp reload]. They fix the few unbalancing features in the game in this version, plus they make a previous secret character in addition to giving him an overhaul. [Robo Ky]. This game I hear is quite rare to find on PS2 these days. Finding a copy of the game seems to be getting harder and harder by the day. Luckily #Reload will be out soon so people who have Xboxes can play. Also makes it easier to get a copy of the game if you wanted to play it on ps2, but couldn't find it and have an xbox! I'd suggest picking it up! You'll wish this game had its own offical anime after watching the into scenes!

Guilty Gear XX gets a 9/10 from me!! #Reload might get a 10! Stay tuned for more details.

alright, so ive seen a preview for the new mortal kombat game, deception. from were i was standing, it looked great! the characters are in different costumes now(like sub-zero looks like the shredder) and it makes them look cooler. the graphics are by far the best ive seen in the entire series. every level is HIGHLY detailed and interactive. there is a "death trap" in every level that ends the match automatically if you manage to put your foe in it, its great! the game has allot more characters AND it has new game modes, one of witch is tetris!(think puzzle fighter, er whatever that games called) its going to be for the ps2 and xbox, so look out for that one. on a scale of 1-10, this has to be a 10, in my mind its flawless..

I rented this game from Blockbuster and thought to myself... of course, I should rent this game... because the two Onimusha games rock. Here I put it in my PS2 like about seven times I got the "Disc Read Error" bullshit and finally it started. I go to start the game and here the character select screen is exactly like Super Smash Brothers and I was just like "ohhhh Noooo!" and I decided not to play but watch the computers play each other. When the battle begun, I was like OMFG!!! It's just like SSB!!! And here Jubei whips out a toy hammer and I was like... must.... shut.... game..... off.....

From what I witnessed in this game, I cannot rate it. I'm sorry.
